Train & Rail 2025: Key takeaways

Train & Rail 2025 offered interesting conversations and insights into the future of the railway industry. The Swedish Transport Administration's involvement and the ongoing digitization projects, such as DUVA, MAJ, and JBS Data Sharing, demonstrate a clear ambition to improve both infrastructure and collaboration within the ecosystem.

One of the most notable observations from the exhibition was the clear presence of the Swedish Transport Administration. They were both open and actively participating in the discussions, with several representatives speaking at the event. A big kudos to the Swedish Transport Administration for showing a willingness to be a central player in the dialogue about the future of railways. This is precisely how we build a stronger industry together.

DUVA – Four digitalization Projects – Can 1 + 1 Equal 3?

One topic that garnered significant attention was the four projects under the name DUVA. All the projects focus on digitizing railway infrastructure, and it is clear that there is great interest in these initiatives. It will be interesting to see if the collaboration between these projects takes us to even greater heights.

MAJ - QTMS contributes to the development

Mässbilder 3The MAJ project, one of the four initiatives within DUVA, was mentioned several times, and we at QTMS are proud to be one of the suppliers. Our involvement in the MAJ project is an important part of our commitment to promoting digitalization and data-driven maintenance within the railway sector.

JBS Data sharing – More sources on the way

A discussion that sparked particular interest revolved around JBS Data Sharing. Work is currently underway to integrate more data sources, including GPS data. The goal is to improve decision-making and create a more comprehensive picture of the railway’s status and traffic.

We carry the energy and insights from Train & Rail forward, continuing to drive the development towards a more data-driven and sustainable railway sector.
