The team
The QTMS team at Tyréns combines technical expertise, extensive experience and a data-driven methodology to support our clients in optimising the maintenance of railway tracks. With a focus on quality-assured data collection and analysis, we deliver solutions that improve maintenance planning, increase reliability and reduce costs.
Our team is a mix of specialists in track monitoring, hardware, data analysis and business development. In addition to the core team, several people from Tyrén's IT division, Sweden IT, also contribute to QTMS's development and operation. Their expertise in system architecture, software development and data infrastructure is a crucial part of our ability to deliver a robust and high-performance solution.
Martin Höjer
Product Owner QTMS
Martin Höjer is the product owner of QTMS and has over 15 years of experience in track monitoring and acoustics. He is a civil engineer from KTH with specialisation in vehicle technology, sound and vibration. Martin has worked on several projects for SL and the Swedish Transport Administration, where he has been responsible for quality assured data collection and analysis according to standards such as EN 13848. His work contributes to improved planning and implementation of maintenance measures.
Tobias Allgulander
Hardware lead
Tobias Allgulander holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and has more than 10 years of experience in the development of hardware systems. In the QTMS project, he is responsible for the design, certification, and integration of sensors and other measurement technologies. Tobias has participated in projects for the Stockholm Metro and Malmbanan and works to ensure that the system fulfils requirements according to standards such as EN 15610 and EN 50155.

Tove Eklund
Marketing
Fredrik Sparrman works to increase customer value by connecting advanced digital solutions with operational goals. His focus is on communicating the value creation of QTMS services and inspiring stakeholders to adopt innovative approaches for improved railway maintenance, efficiency and sustainability.
Since 2022, he has been an active part of QTMS projects for both the Swedish Transport Administration and the Stockholm Metro, where he contributes to translating technology into practical benefits and creating consensus among stakeholders.
Tove Eklund is responsible for spreading and communicating the value of QTMS to customers and the industry. By leading initiatives such as webinars, customer cases and networking activities, Tove creates a strong presence for QTMS in the market. With a strategic understanding of communication, she ensures that the right message gets through and shows how QTMS and customer projects contribute to more efficient maintenance, better decisions and sustainable railway traffic.

Chief Innovation Officer
Maria Duvaldt is a QTMS Data Scientist with a focus on analysing deviations and optimising maintenance along railway tracks. With education in engineering physics, hospital physics and user interface design, she has experience from, among others, Tyréns, Karolinska University Hospital and Västmanland County Council. Maria is educated at Umeå University and specialises in analysis, data visualisation and machine learning. Her ability to transform complex data into clear insights is a key part of creating smart and data-driven decision-making.
Dag Måhlstrand has been a key person in QTMS since its inception and is a driving force in its continued development. With deep knowledge of the maintenance market and long experience of strategic issues, Dag serves as a valuable sounding board for both QTMS and its customers. In his role as Chief Innovation Officer and senior advisor, he provides insights and guidance to management teams to ensure sustainable and innovative solutions that create long-term value.
