QTMS receives renewed confidence from the Swedish Transport Administration and opens for expansion

Tyrén's innovation QTMS (Quiet Track Monitoring System) has taken another step forward in the Swedish Transport Administration's innovation procurement. QTMS continues to be trusted to monitor and analyse the condition of the railway on Malmbanan, with the possibility of expanding to more tracks.

Since the start of the Swedish Transport Administration's innovation procurement in 2021, QTMS has been developed and tested in a real environment. This autumn, it became clear that QTMS meets the high demands and now goes to the next stage of innovation procurement.

Digitalised maintenance for the railway of the future

QTMS is part of the Swedish Transport Administration's plans for more digitalised and condition-based maintenance. It is a solution that combines advanced measurement technology and digital tools, and has the potential to improve operational safety and cost efficiency for the railway.

An important step for Tyréns
The fact that QTMS has been validated by Sweden's largest railway owner means great opportunities for Tyréns. Product owner Martin Höjer comments:

"We're thankful for the continued confidence and look forward to the continued journey with the Swedish Transport Administration. The industry is facing an exciting development where digitalisation and new working methods help to create more reliable and cost-effective maintenance of Sweden's railways. "
